And Remember – RECYCLE RECYCLE RECYCLE!  And do not waste foods because that is another major source of pollution.

If you don’t think overpopulation is not a problem in US, think again

Year     US Entire Population

1920     106,021,537
1950     151,325,798
1970     203,211,926
1990     248,709,873
2010     308,745,538
2012     313,914,040    (Estimation)

Before we talk about immigration and etc., there is one thing that everyone should realize.  People live in US spend 30 more in their life time then the people who are living in developing countries.

Some years ago, speaking on the campus of the University of Colorado, US Senator Tim Wirth said that the best thing we can do to help other countries stop their population growth is for us to set an example and stop our own population growth here in the US.  Indeed.

Nowadays it is estimated that about 50% of US citizens receive at least one type of government aid just to keep up their basic needs.

However, look at our policies.  We only give welfare cash money to those women who has babies!  Not the other way around.  The way to have fewer babies who will be born in poverty is educational and financial reward for people who voluntary sterilize.  However, thanks to fundamental Christianity, false humanitarianism, and etc., this was not realized.

India had similar problem.  Indra Gandi offered money for men who would voluntarily sterilize them.  But when the program was only attracting men who alread had 4, 5, 6 kids, and etc.  There was forced sterilization.  Naturally, there was riot by Indian men and Indra Gandi had to step down.  This failure to curve population growth is one of the major reason why India could not raise like China as a world economic power.

If you still think overpopulation is not a problem, there is something more for you to see and think about:

Below are documentaries and news clips about wrenched and chronic social problems.

Daughters of Darkness – Prostitution in India

Child Prostitution in Cambodia

Paedophile’s Paradise – Indonesia

Cheated of Childhood – Russia

Filipino children driven to the streets by crushing poverty

The Dark Side Of Chocolate – Child Slavery in Chocolate Industry

Child Prostitution – South Africa

Children For Sale – Brazil

Children at Work – Guatemala

Glitter In The Gutter – USA

After watching these, think about this – Can you think of any of the problems on any scale, whose long term solution is in any way markedly getting better by having more population at local, state, national, and global level?

If you still think overpopulation and depletion of earth resources is not problem I suppose you also got some leaders who are thinking in the same way.  Not only lecherous degenerate people on the streets do not care about these issues, but policy makers and so-called educated people are not much better.  Take a look.

From High Country News January 27th, 1992 page 4

A UN agency recently warned that “resource collapse” was possible as the world population might top 10.2 billion by 2050 – 25 years earlier than previously expected.

When asked about the report, HUD Secretary Jack Kemp said, “Nonsense.  People are not a drain on the resources of the planet.” AP reports.

Late Dr. Julian Simon, formerly Professor of Economics and Business Administration at University of Illinois.  In 1992, he became Professor of Business Administration at University of Maryland and Adjunct Scholar of the Heritage Foundation.  In 1981, Dr. Simon had published a book called, “The Ultimate Resource” by Princeton University Press.  In the page 49, he says, “Clearly, there is no meaningful limit to this source (=oil) except the sun’s energy” “But even if our sun were not as vast as it is, there may well be other suns elsewhere” ß he means that if our sun runs out, we can use some other suns energy elsewhere.

For decades, he was a trust policy adviser at the very highest level in Washington DC.

It is the nature of the human species to reject what is true but unpleasant and to embrace what is obviously false but comforting.

– Henry Louis Mencken

Indeed.

Why should we do something about it?  Because even though it is as bad as it is, we could still do something about it.

Unlike plagues of the dark ages or contemporary diseases (which) we do not yet understand, the modern plague of overpopulation is soluble by means we have discovered and with resources we possess.  What is lacking is not sufficient knowledge of the solution, but universal consciousness of the gravity of the problem and the education of the billions who are its victims.

– Martin Luther King – During Margaret Sanger Award in Human Rights Acceptance Speech 1966

What if overpopulation continues?  Then humanity would degenerate and civilization will be completely destroyed.

Human dignity cannot survive it. Convenience and decency cannot survive it. As you put more and more people into the world, the value of life not only declines, it disappears. It doesn’t matter if someone dies.”

– Isaac Asimov
